If you have never booked freight, LCL sounds like a password. It only means this: you do not need a full container. Your cargo shares space with other people’s cargo in one box that sails together.
That is why small traders in Dubai use it. A few pallets of cosmetics, a consignment of used appliances, a mixed load for a shop in Lagos. Not enough to justify FCL — a full container for one customer — but too much for a courier bag.
What Brightview actually publishes
Brightview is a Dubai-founded company. On LCL, the public offer is weekly consolidations from Dubai toward Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda. That is the corridor we will stand behind, because it is written on the LCL shipping page. We will not invent sailing days, vessel names, or “12-day transit” figures that are not on the site.
If your destination is outside that list, ask. The company also talks about wider work into Africa, Asia, and Europe, and about FCL and air cargo when the shipment is bigger or more urgent. Those are different products. Mixing them in one WhatsApp voice note is how quotes go wrong.
How a conversation usually goes
Someone sends a photo of cargo in a warehouse in Al Quoz or Jebel Ali. We need the same boring facts every time: roughly how much it weighs, how big it is, what it is, and which city it is heading to. If it is a standard Brightview carton — the 71 × 46 × 46 cm box, 50 kg, AED 400 — say that. If it is loose cargo, say that too.
LCL is cheaper than buying the whole container because you pay for your slice. You also wait for the groupage to close. That trade-off is the whole product. Anyone promising the speed of air cargo at LCL money is not describing this service.
