Weekly LCL from Dubai, without the freight lecture

Mixed cartons being loaded into a shared container for weekly LCL groupage from Dubai

LCL is a shared container. Your cargo sits with other people’s cargo, and the ship moves once. You pay for the space you use. You do not pay for a whole container you cannot fill. That is the entire idea. The rest is timing, paperwork, and not pretending it is a courier.

Brightview runs weekly consolidations from Dubai. The destinations we will put in writing are Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Gabon, and Sierra Leone, plus others the office confirms. That list is on the LCL shipping page. If your country is missing, ask. Do not assume a silence means yes.

Who weekly groupage is for

A trader in Deira with mixed cartons. A few pallets of stock for a shop in Lagos. Loose cargo that is more than a standard box and less than a full container. Household boxes still exist, and they have published prices. LCL is the step up, when the cargo has stopped being “one carton for the family”.

Kenya is on the LCL list. There is no published Kenya household box on the site with an AED price. If you are sending to Kenya, ask for a groupage quote rather than forcing it into a Ghana carton.

What we need before anyone talks money

What it is. Rough weight. Rough size. Which city. When you need it to leave, knowing that “this week’s consolidation” is not “this afternoon”. Photos help when the cargo is already sitting in a warehouse in Al Quoz or Jebel Ali. A voice note that says “same as last time” does not help if last time was a different destination.

LCL is cheaper than buying the whole container because you buy a slice. It is slower than air cargo because it waits for the group and then it goes by sea. Hold both of those facts at once and the quote will make sense.

After it is booked

You should get a waybill once the shipment is recorded. Check it on Track. For a person, WhatsApp +971 52 492 9941. If you are still unsure whether the cargo fills a container, read FCL next to this. The older plain-language note is still useful: LCL from Dubai, without the jargon.

There is a longer version of “where does it sit while we wait for the week to close” on the warehousing page, if the cargo cannot live in your shop until sailing day.
